Cupcake Favor Box

Sharing one more of the projects we created at Stamp Camp this past Saturday.

Stampin' Up! made boxes similar to this for gifts they were handing out at one of their events and as soon as I saw it posted out on some of the blogs I knew I had to make a version of it for myself!

They're actually very easy to make - the base is die cut using the Perfect Settings die and the top is just some ribbon with a running stitch to gather them into rosettes...

Birthday Flowers Card and a Color Challenge

Hi Stampers,

Yesterday was the first Inkredible Stampers' Stamp Camp of the year!! I love the little break I get each year in December and January but there's nothing better than getting back to stamping and seeing everyone at stamp camp at the end of January! :)

I decided to go with a Cupcake Theme for this stamp camp and show off some of the fun new products in the Occasions Mini, but I also wanted to show have versitile the Create and Cupcake stamp set and Make a Cupcake Punch could be so I included this flower pot birthday card in the mix.

When I was picking out colors for this card I decided to play along with my Create, Ink! ColorLab Color Challenge for this week. The colors worked perfectly for this card!

Most Adorable Birthday Candle Ever

I saw a fun tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers for decorating a flameless tealight candle up as a cake and fell in LOVE with the idea!!

I made up this birthday cake candle (with a little Valentine Theme perfect for a February birthday) to show off at our last team get together.

The SCS Tutorial is located here - I found that the measurements were not quite right for my tealight so I just modified them to work with what I had!

I used the Love Patterns Paper and the Bitty Buttons included in the Filled with Love Bundle (Promo ends on January 24th) to decorate the cake.

The little red flowers were created by punching out a flower from one of the punches matching the Bitty Buttons. I sprayed the paper with Stampin' Mist and then scrunched it up. Once they were dry I layer a few together and glued them using Tombow Multi Glue. It's really easy to make flowers using this technique - but beware - when you're using red paper it does tend to bleed a little - make sure you have scrap under the paper while you're working with it and enjoy those - Inky Fingers!!

Make a Monster Gift and Card

I had a Show & Share team get together this past week for my Create, Ink team and of course we had to have a swap! The minute I saw the Make a Monster set in the catalog this past July I had to have it!!! I've been itching to use the set so I decided to create my swap cards with it...

This card did triple duty for me, I used it as a swap - AND it goes along with this weeks ColorLab Color Challenge. And it made a perfect card to go along with a gift I just finished knitting.

Meet Ursula and Uma, The Understanding Monsters...

These monsters were a kit created by Rebecca Danger. (I LOVE her monsters - she just released a book and I can't wait to get started on a few new patterns from the book - it just need to get here!!)

I so excited about how perfectly her monster patterns and this stamp set match (I see more matching monster and card gifts in my future)

The Make a Monster stamp set comes with three different monster images and a bunch of different eyes, hair, horns, and more monster fun to decorate them with!

My first thought on this set is wouldn't it make adorable baby shower invites or birth announcements for a baby boy?? I have a few baby ideas floating around in my head - hopefully I'll get a chance to use them!

Simply Elegent Wedding Favors for Stephanie and Derryl

Back at the begining of December Stephanie and Derryl got married - I have been meaning to post this ever since but just got too wrapped up in the Holiday crazyness - so better late than never!! :)

I met Stephanie last summer when I wanted to host a 31 Party. She's a consultant - so if you're looking for one check her out! She was looking for some ideas to decorate her Wedding favors - so of course I was excited to help her out!!

Stephanie had already picked out some little chapsticks personalized with their info (a GREAT favor idea for a December wedding) but she wanted something to dress them up at each person's place for the reception. When I saw a little tent package made from the Two Tags die I knew right away it would be perfect for her - this is what we came up with!

We used the Big Shot to Die cut tags from the Two Tags die using Crumb Cake card stock.

Then embossed them with Perfect Polka Dots Textures Embossing Folder.

Trim away the bottom portion on each of two tags so there is just about 1/2" past the score line. Attach the two tags together and tie them up with some Linen thread and ribbon.

We used Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla along with some pearls to decorate the favors.

Then attach the Chap Sticks inside w/some glue dots.

I love the way these came out - and Stephanie had a lot of fun putting these together with her Brides Maids!
