Simply Adorned Charm Case and Matching Charm

More Fabric Flower Pins

The flowers I'm sharing today were my swap for the meeting. We usually swap cards or small candy ideas but I though it would be fun to swap something that went along with my Fabric Crafting presentation I made at the meeting.

I made two different flowers and let everyone choose which flower was more their style

The first flower is another wool flower - this time I used hand dyed wool which gave the flower a multi-tone look.

These flowers use the same Circle #2 die I used on the Lollipop Flowers. Each petal is a layer of the three smaller circl sizes folded up, tacked together with a needle and thread. Then each petal was hot glued onto a circle. I added a Clear Button decorated with Designer Series Paper into the center, leaves for the back, and finished it off with a pin. Just like I did in the Lollipop Flower pins.

The other flower option also used the circles but it's a VERY different look

Don't you think these would look GREAT clipped onto a Bridal Shower or Wedding favor? Or maybe hair clip party favors at a Little Princess Birthday.

To create these flowers you want to use a synthetic fabric (something that will melt - I know you're all cringing but stay with me here)

1. Die cut 4-8 of each size circle from the Circle #2 die. You can cut up to 8 layers at once with the Big Shot so this goes really fast. 
2. Choose a Rhinestone brad and push it through the center of each circle one layer at a time. Start with your smallest circles and work out to the biggest.
3. When all the circles are on the brad spread the legs of the brad open in the back to hold everything in place.
4. Now take your Heat Tool (The Embossing Gun you use with your embossing powders) and start heating the fabric working from the center out around the whole cirlce. The fabric will start curling and melting. You can melt a little or a lot. It takes a little practice to get things just the way you like but every flower is different and unique.
5. Finish off the flower by sewing or gluing a pin or clip onto the back of the flower.

Fresh Spring Inserts for my Simply Adorned Jewlery

I'll be back tomorrow with some more of the fabric crafting projects I shared at our team meeting but I had to take a quick minute to show off the Fresh Springy inserts I have in my Simply Adorned Charms right now.

I recently joined a swap with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators to get a bunch of different inserts for my various sized Simply Adorned Charms. I love having so many so I can easily change them out to suite my mood that day!

 

I took my charms out of their bags before writing down the names of the demonstrators who made them so I don't know who to give the credit to for both of these fabulous inserts - but for the SU Demos out there reading my blog if you made one of these beauties post and let me know so I can give you credit! :)

The one on top of the box is our 1" x 1" size charm and it's perfect for all the Inchies artists out there. For those of you who don't know Inchies are pieces of art all created on in a 1" square size. There is a whole world of artist creating inchie art in all different kinds of materials. Flowers and Flourishes Simply Adorned Charm

I ordered one of the Simply Adorned Charms and a Chain out of the Occasions Mini. When it came in I was excited to play with it and make my first insert. I'm loving the idea of making and wearing my own Stampin' Up! art! as many of you know Jewelry was one of my first crafty loves and I've gotten away from it a little as I've gotten into the Paper crafting side of things - but now I get to merge the two together and I don't think there's anything better in the world! :)
