Santa Claus is Coming to Town... Christmas Punch Art Characters

Hi Stampers,

At my Inkredible Stampers' Club Christmas Party we created Santa and Rudolph punch art tags .... and then I continued that theme at my Create, Ink! Stampers team Christmas Party by creating an Angel and Elf topper for Cello Bags!

I had SO much fun playing with these Christmas Characters Punch Art!!

Are these not too cute for words!!! I have been seeing lots of Christmas Punch art this year and made notes of my favorite parts of each ... then I put together my cast of characters!

I wanted to thank all my loyal blog readers for the GREAT year of following along with my crafty ramblings and I though a Punch Art tutorial was the perfect way! So here's a gift for all of you

Rudolph and his VERY Shiny Nose

Ok - back to the regulary scheduled program...

I'm working on doing some present wrapping this week - one of the many things (and totally one of the best things) on my to do list this week is getting ready for our annual Friend's Christmas get together - this year it seems like I've had lots of gifts that were small in size and I wanted to do some special wrapping...

As soon as I saw the boxes in the Candy Countdown Calendar Kit I thought "Wouldn't those make GREAT little gift boxes??" SO when I ordered an extra kit - one for my calendar and one for fun! :) I decided to use some to wrap gifts with and I have some left over for Valentines Day - I can't WAIT!! The Red is perfect...

The boxes and the background paper came in the kit I just added the Rudolph and OMG is he not the cutest thing in the world??? I love his very very shiny nose...

Here's a close up with a little more shine - although photographing just doesn't do the glitter justice!

Do you want to take a guess about the punch I used to create Rudolph's face with???

Here's a little game for everyone coming to Stamp Camp this Saturday...

I'm bringing along some prizes with me and the first three people who get to stamp camp and can name that Rudolph punch will get one of them!

I'll post an update after this weekend for everyone else :) and I'll also show you what's inside the presents (don't want to give away the suprise to any of my friends - hi girls - I know you're out there reading this!)

 

Update: Congrats to Izzy and Priscilla who both told me it was the Owl Punch! :) They each received one of the Mini Antibacterials in a gift box like I handed out to my team!! I cased the Rudolph idea from Share Inspire Create - check out the post to see all the punches used on Rudolph... I didn't have the Snowflake Punch so I used the Northern Frost Die to cut snowflakes for the antlers :)

 

Lots of Fun with the Owl Punch and Punch Art

Punch Flowers from the Backyard Garden Class

Hi Stampers!

I've been busy with a LOT of events lately. I've been taking lots of pictures of the projects and classes so I could share them with everyone who couldn't make a class. One of the events was the Punch Art Garden PJ Party or In The Mail classes. The PJ Party class was TONS of fun as always!! We had fun making decorations and food to fit our Garden Theme.

We packaged up all the kits for our through the mail stampers after the class and they should have all arrived by now. Here's a look at one of the kits getting ready to go into it's mailing box:

 

We we're thrilled to offer this class to our long distance customers and are looking forward to doing this again in the future! In their packets everyone received the Instruction Booklet, their Scallop Circle Chipboard Album, The paper and punchies they needed to complete the eight pages of the album, and a name tag to label the kits. We always make name tags for our events and they're usually some of the favorite decorations of the evening. I did not want our Through the Mail class participants to miss out on these cute Bunny Gardner Name tags so we decided to include them i the kits!

Back to the PJ Party, my favorite punch art from the whole class was the Table Decorations I created for each table centerpiece.

When I came up with this flower idea it reminded me of a fun exotic flower, so I simply call them Exotic Flowers (I know I'm real original) Of course at the class they were a little more original with the name of the flowers. There are made using the 2 Step Bird Punch and at the class they lovingly called these Bird (I'll use a nicer word then them) Hiney flowers. :) So you can call them whatever you want - but no matter what you call them - wouldn't they made a great addition to a spring picnic table?? Or imagine them done in your wedding colors as centerpieces for a Wedding Reception or Bridal Shower...

Punch Art Tulips for Mother's Day

This card was the Make 'n Take at our last team meeting. Lisa brought this adorable Mother's Day card that features punch art tulips.

 

The petals of the tulips were created using the wing from the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch. And the stems and leaves come from that same punch. Here's a closer look at the flowers...

Punch Art Animal Instructions

You ALL asked for it and NOW you have it!

Remember the Punch Art Animal Class?

I've had so many request for a copy of the instructions used at this class. I've added the Punch Art Animal Journal Instructions to my Inkredible Stamping Tutorials Page. If you want to purchase a copy of the instructions for yourself visit the Tutorial Page.

While these instructions do not include step by step photographed instructions they DO include a Picture of each of the 20 finished Animal Pages, Tips and Tricks for putting your Animals together, A list of punches used on each animal, and typed instructions for assembling the animals!

PJs and Flowers - Punch Art PJ Party Part 2

I'm back with the second post about Friday's Punch Art Class. As many of you know this class was scheduled to go late into the night, so we decided it would be fun to make the class a PJ party. Everyone had the option of showing up in their PJs (or changing there). Let me tell you, it was great to get home and basically be ready to roll into bed! To add in even more PJ fun we came up with 5 categories before the class and awarded Prizes for the PJs that fit best into our categories!

and our one non-PJ category Traveled the farthest to get here: Mary Beth who drove up from Oklahoma City Friday morning to join us for the class!!

Ok so my FAVORITE of the whole evening had to be Marcy in her Stamped Shirt

Marcy Ironed on a Stampin' Up! logo and added "Loads of Fun" below it. Then she stamped the Truck from Loads of Love all over her shirt along with some super cute tire tracks. She finished it off by coloring it in with great spring colors!

What were the prizes for our PJ contest? Remember all those punches I took pictures of the other day - They were for the centerpieces we put on each table for the class. Flower Pots full of Punched Flowers. Everyone who won get to choose a flower pot to take home. Here's a look at the post lined up waiting to go out on the tables...

Of course all of the teachers wanted their own flowers in a pot! So we're going to make them as our make and take at Monday's Meeting.

Fun and Prizes - Punch Art Pj Party Part 1

WOW! I had a GREAT time Fridaynight with everyone at our very first Punch Art PJ Party! I know I say it all the time but I just love seeing everyone at our big team classes. Don't get me wrong - it's tons of fun to get together in smaller groups to stamp and I really treasure the more individual time I get to spend with everyone at a smaller get together but there is just nothing like the energy that exist in a room full of craftin galz!

It was a busy night of punching out shapes and creating animals - I put together a few of my favorite pictures from the evening so you can all have a peek at the fun we had!

Doesn't it look like everyone was having fun?

As usual we had a bunch of Prizes for the evening! This time Debbie and Dawn were in charge of creating some great items for our prize table, and they really went all out. A look at just a few of the fun items we gave away at the class.

First Up - Minnie and Mickey Mouse Jumbo Paper Clip Punches created with what else? SU Punches!

Next Up - The Theme of the evening was Animals. Everyone took home a book full of Punch Art Animals but the lucky winners of these prizes got to take home a cute Barn Box full of a few more ideas for their books.
-A Smaller Version of the Monkey we made is a GREAT example of how you can change the sizes on the animals by changing up the punches you use.
-A Bear
-A different option for creating a quick and easy Elephant
-A Zebra

I'm so jealous - This was one of my favorite prizes of the evening - I'm so jealous of the winners!! I've got to sit down next week and re-create some of these fun guys to add to my book!

Our Grand Prizes for the evening were three of these Punch Pal books. Each book is filled with laminated reference cards for all of the Stampin' Up! punches. This is a great tool; when you're looking to punch out a stamped image you can hold up the reference cards over the image and find just the right punch to use!

Last, but not least - We wanted everyone to go home with a small prize, so everyone received a Penguin Nugget Holder. One last Chocolate pick me up as we sent everyone home - it was a late night!

Wild Art...

The Punch Art Animals Class is coming up this Friday! We've all been busy getting instructions, punches, prizes, and more ready for our Wild Evening! I put the last finishing touch on my Punch Art Journal last night so I though I would give you all a little sneak peek of what you'll be making at the class on Friday...

I just LOVE the way to covers for the books came out! I could picture it looking this great in my head when I designed it, but sometimes things just don't work out the way you picture them. This time it came out JUST the way I wanted it to!
