Mini Milk Carton Hexagon Box & Card!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'm sharing the project I created for this month's Craft Project Central. I LOVE the colors and paper in the Spice Cake Product Suite in the Holiday Mini - I'm a little suprised by how much I LOVE these colors together. Most of you probably know that next to purple - teal colors are a BIG favorite ... so no suprise I LOVE Pool Party - but I never would have though I would like it paird with More Mustard and Chocolate Chip! :)

Ok - enough rambling about colors - because I love the products in Spice Cake Suite so much I used them as inspiration for my CPC project. I altered the Mini Milk Carton die to create a Hexagon favor box and created a matching card.

I think the favor box would be FABULOUS as a fall wedding favor - what do you think??

Simply Elegent Wedding Favors for Stephanie and Derryl

Back at the begining of December Stephanie and Derryl got married - I have been meaning to post this ever since but just got too wrapped up in the Holiday crazyness - so better late than never!! :)

I met Stephanie last summer when I wanted to host a 31 Party. She's a consultant - so if you're looking for one check her out! She was looking for some ideas to decorate her Wedding favors - so of course I was excited to help her out!!

Stephanie had already picked out some little chapsticks personalized with their info (a GREAT favor idea for a December wedding) but she wanted something to dress them up at each person's place for the reception. When I saw a little tent package made from the Two Tags die I knew right away it would be perfect for her - this is what we came up with!

We used the Big Shot to Die cut tags from the Two Tags die using Crumb Cake card stock.

Then embossed them with Perfect Polka Dots Textures Embossing Folder.

Trim away the bottom portion on each of two tags so there is just about 1/2" past the score line. Attach the two tags together and tie them up with some Linen thread and ribbon.

We used Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla along with some pearls to decorate the favors.

Then attach the Chap Sticks inside w/some glue dots.

I love the way these came out - and Stephanie had a lot of fun putting these together with her Brides Maids!

Shimmer Spray

At each Create, Ink get together we have someone share a Make 'n Take card. Serena was doing the Make 'n Take for this meeting and she came up with a FABULOUS card!!

She was showing us how to make and use Shimmer Spray. It's a little bit like Smooch Spritz but more of a fine all over shimmer. Just place a little bit of Shimmer Paint into a spray bottle with Alcohol and spray onto the card stock. It really shimmers. It's hard to tell in the picture... this one shows the shine a little better.

See all the shimmer?? It's SO pretty in person. I would LOVE to show you all this technique in person - If you're booking a party with me and you want to see this technique let me know - it's a GREAT workshop card!!

 

Bookmark Wedding Favor

A couple of months ago I worked on some Wedding Programs and Favors for John and Lindsey. I didn't snap many pictures of their items since they were similar to some of the things I've done in the past but I did snap one quick picture while I was bundling everything up to send to them.

This bookmark favor is one of my all time favorite Wedding favor items ever. We created these favors to go along with a matchbox favor box full of candy. The bookmarks went together so quick and easy. It's a great idea for a Bride who's on a time or money budget (Isn't that every bride?!?!)

 

I simply printed a poem along with the Names and Dates of the wedding onto Whisper White card stock, then cut it into rectangles. I die cut Basic Black card stock using the Table Setting Die. The piece I used from the Die is normally used to make a napkin ring but I think it's a GREAT fancy bookmark - You can see the shape on the die...

Power of the Purse

I'm a little slow getting these pictures up for you guys :). A couple of months ago I got together with some other stampers to help create favors for a United Way Fundraiser in St. Clair, MO. It was a really cute fundraiser idea - they called it The Power of The Purse. It was a dinner and purse auction. I donated one of my Scallop Square Quilted Rag Bag Purses for them for the auction and also helped out with the favors for the tables. We made the Nugget Purses (You guys remember we've done these at stamp camp before). Their color scheme was Black and Red w/Zebra Stripes.

 

We made about 100 of these purses in just a few hours - they go so fast. It really is a great idea for party favors! Here's a closer look at one of the purses.

Bring on the Bling Wedding Ensemble

Day Three of Wedding Week, Don't worry if you're not looking for Wedding ideas. Stay with me, these pictures are still full of ideas for favors, cards, and more that can easily be altered a little and created to suite any party or event. Today's Ensemble is for those of you out there who LOVE the Bling. This picture does not really do the card justice, it's got some great glitter and shimmer in real life! I did my best to capture a little of the sparkle for you.

I went a little closer to help you see the Sparkle on the Invitation and also so you could get a look at the Favor box. Another Sweet Simple Idea that's easy to make.

And like I said these ideas are great for all kinds of events. This set would be so CUTE for a Baby Shower. You could change the colors up a bit to Pink Pirouette or Bashful Blue. Maybe change out to stamp set to something fun and babyish like a Rattle or Teddy Bear.

Elegant Wedding Ensemble

Night of Navy and Certainly Celery are great colors for a wedding. But as with most any hand made item the colors can be custom chosen to work perfectly for you. Whatever colors you want to use to compliment your scheme!

One of my favorite things in this ensemble is the Milk Carton Favor Box.

These look SO great sitting at each place setting at a table and they look good in every color of the rainbow! There are tons of fun ways you can close the boxes: Clips, Brads, Rhinestone Brads, or leave it as it is. The choice is yours.

When a Bride contacts me about her Wedding I set up a consultation. At the consultation I'll have some samples with me and I'll go over the different options avaliable for them so they can choose the one that's perfect for their needs. One of those options is to have me make the items they want for their Special Day. But my favorite option is to have the Bride and her Bridesmaids (or whoever she wants) get involved in making the items. Afterall nothing is more special than putting your own handmade touch onto your Favors or Invitations to make your Special Day Extra Special. If the bride wants I'll even get everything Pre-Cut and meet up with her and her helpers to show them how to put their items together and have a little Pre-Wedding Stampin' Party.
